"Everything was just right!"
September, 2017
We completely enjoyed the Argonaut. The check in process was pleasant and convenient. We were able to show our Reserve Direct E Ticket from our email on our phone. Everyone made us feel like they were waiting, just for us. Everyone was so pleasant and properly skilled in their customer service areas, from the front desk to the bellman to the doorman and our room was immaculate. Our room was perfect, comfortable and snacks and drinks were added amenities, along with cozy white robes. The location on the Wharf was perfect. We were so busy on Fisherman's Wharf that we never had the time to visit the lounge or enjoy the breakfast. We were able to walk to everything at the Wharf right from the Argonaut, including the Hop on and Off Trolley pick up sight, which made our first San Francisco visit, so easy. I love the location and the generosity of the Argonaut and do plan to stay with them again.

Tip: While they do offer complimenatry items in the room some charges may be made for certain pleasures like the awesome bottle of Champaigne chilled in your room! It was well worth the slight fee after a day of travel.

We stayed here four nights in June. Perfect location for walking to everything along the Wharf. We walked almost everywhere from the hotel, even to Chinatown, but we took a pedicab back. The hotel was very clean, large room and spacious bathroom. Every morning you can stop by the front desk for a coffee voucher for the number in your room and go to the self serve area in the restaurant; very convenient. We loved the fireplace in the lobby with comfortable chairs. We met such nice people staying at the hotel from around the world. Show your room key for 20% off Ben & Jerry's which is next door, I think we had ice cream every day. Most everything shuts down on the Wharf by 10 so I would recommend starting your day early. Bring a jacket for sure because it gets cold at night. All employees were very nice and helpful with suggestions, directions etc. We had an A plus experience with the exception of breakfast at the hotel, it was a C but we would definitely stay here again.

"Neat and tidy but hidden fees"

A decent hotel with beautiful ceiling supports because it is an old cannery. Unfortunately no ceiling lights only lamps. Internal rooms have an ugly view of vacant space and other rooms. No exhaust fan in bathroom. Watch out for resort fee of $25 per night which wasn’t mentioned on my booking form which said all fees and surcharges included. 😩 a quiet stay

We stayed at the Argonaut for four nights during which time it was our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The rooms were really nice with a nautical theme. Good concierge desk who booked a whale watching trip for us. Bar area was nice but restaurant service was not good. Only had our breakfast there but on one occasion they seemed to have forgotten about us. Left sitting with menus while people who came in after us were served. Seems like they didn’t have enough staff. Wished we had just gone elsewhere for breakfast. Overall I’d recommend the hotel but would say eat in one of the many restaurants in Fisherman’s Wharf

"Nice hotel close to Fisherman Wharf & Cable car"

Stayed 3 nights on a Travelzoo deal in February. The room was well appointed and was fairly large. Our room overlooked a walkway with some restaurants. My biggest complaint was the bathroom needed more storage space for the 3 of us. Right behind the hotel is Starbucks which is convenient for a quick breakfast. Also, the cable car stop is super nice to have to explore other areas of the city. I would stay here again if needing to stay in this area.

"Great staff, excellent location, super comfortable room"

Well appointed friendly boutique hotel located directly across from the Aquatic Park (excellent for swimmers) in Fisherman's Wharf. Nearby to cable car and trolley cars. This hotel has a wonderful lobby lounge with a large fireplace, plenty of chairs/lounges/large table, which we spent a great deal of time enjoying, and meeting old and new friends. The restaurant attached has a varied menu and the food was delicious. The room itself (king room) had large windows with shutters (which was useful to dry clothes during the day and block light when sleeping), aircon/heater that was easily adjusted, a super comfortable bed, and a good sized bathroom with bath and a large shower rail which was also good for drying wetsuits. We had a 8 day stay and loved every minute. The only thing missing in this hotel is a spa or pool. But given the proximity to the aquatic park, it not a necessity.
