Description

from Ultimate Wine Tasting Tour to Napa & Sonoma Valley
A Wine Lover's Paradise - Enjoy Both Napa and Sonoma Valley's in One Day!

All Wine Tasting Fees INCLUDED in tour price!

Unwind and soak up the stunning scenery as we journey north into Napa and Sonoma Valley, two of the most prized wine regions of Northern California. During your venture, enjoy wine tasting and exclusive estate tours of three of our favored wineries: Madonna Estate, Sutter Home, and Sebastiani Vineyards.

Since 1922, the Bartolucci Family has consistently created a perfect marriage of grapes and wine at Madonna Estate. Located in the world-renowned Carneros region, an area known for its fertile lands and cool climate, the Bartolucci family has found success with their organically grown grapes and Estate Bottled wines. In addition to practicing natural farming methods, they also combine traditional and modern wine making techniques. As the third-oldest wine making family in the Napa Valley, it is important to them that they continue the commitment to farm naturally and preserve the wine making traditions of past generations.

When the Trinchero family bought the Sutter Home Winery in 1948, they had a vision, a passion, and apparently, an insight into consumer tastes. In the early 1970s, Sutter Home started a trend when the company created White Zinfandel, introducing a new, sweeter flavor profile. They changed the way Americans enjoyed wine by offering them high-quality varietals at an affordable price. By the 1980s and 1990s, Sutter Home became a household name and the second largest independent family-run winery in the United States.

During a lunch break, we'll make a stop at Historic Downtown Sonoma Square where you will enjoy leisure time to explore. Both destinations afford a wonderful variety of eclectic dining options and one-of-a-kind boutique shops and local art galleries.

With over a century of wine making experience in Sonoma, Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery focuses on crafting small lots of premium wines from Sonoma County. Today, Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery advances its record of acclaim under the guidance of vintner and entrepreneur Bill Foley, who acquired the winery in 2008. As part of Foley Family Wines, Sebastiani will maintain its commitment to producing singular wines from the appellations of Sonoma County.

At each winery, you will spend approximately 1-hour for tour and tasting. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a scenic drive over the Golden Gate Bridge on your way back into San Francisco.

The Wine Country Tour is approximately 9 hours and is available daily at 9:00 am. The price of the tour includes the wine tasting and touring fees at each winery. Wineries subject to change on holidays or due to special events.

Lunchtime is allotted between wineries. (Winery schedule subject to change pending private events at wineries). Lunch cost not included.

Optional Lunch Add-on:
Add lunch onto your day trip with a stop at a local favorite right in the middle of the historic Square in Downtown Sonoma. Enjoy items from a variety of Californian-inspired dishes ranging from Sandwiches, Pasta, and Seafood.
(Optional lunch - $30.00 per person; Includes appetizer, entree, beverage, tax & gratuities.)

We did a city tour plus alcatraz. Our driver/guide, Patrick was very welcoming . He was knowledgeable and informative. In particular, he had a running dialogue with a lovely young lady on the coach which kept everyone amused. Thanks, Patrick.

"Great way to visit Wine Country by yourself. "

My day started with a pick up at my hotel by Silvio. Traffic was bad and it was a little late but Silvio welcomed me with a nice smile and a good sense of humour. He maneuvered the bus to each hotel stop with patience and understanding as one passenger had some mobility issues. He herded us all through the “office process”of getting boarding passes , very efficiently. Back on the bus in record time and off to the countryside. Silvio’s gentle voice educated us with his vast knowledge of wine making. I learned lots, loved the views and felt very safe in our chariot. We visited three wineries that day; Madonna Estates, Sutter and Gloria Ferrer. The best was the last, the lady who greeted us was very fun and knowledgeable. She transferred information on her world of sparkling wines in a fun way with facts that will be remembered. This was a very thorough tour and I felt I was very fortunate to have been exposed to such an interesting winery. I would recommend Tower Tours and especially Silvio! He is a Gentleman Extraordinaire!!

"SFO City tour and Alcatraz"

Everything went seamlessly for our tour. The tour guide for our city tour was excellent - funny and knowledgable about the city. The only thing I would say was that I felt we could have spent more time at some of the spots, for example would have been nice to walk around China town or Nob hill for a bit. Alcatraz is during the second half of the day and the tour company drops you off at the pier. You then have to exchange your ticket confirmation for actual tickets and hop onto the ferry to Alcatraz. After Alcatraz, there is an option to be dropped back to your hotel but you need to walk to the tour office at Fisherman Wharf and the bus is only till 5:30 pm. We chose to stay back and enjoy Pier 39. All in all, a great day. Thank you Tower Tours.

Had a wonderful day touring the wine country with Patrick as our guide. Loved the tour everything was timed perfect. Nice amount of time at all three wineries. Loved lunch in Sonoma, had a delicious sandwich at the Cheese Factory. Plenty to do, but at a relaxed pace. Patrick is knowledgeable and is willing to talk about the area, striking a nice balance between talking and quiet time. Highly recommend this trip for a single traveler or a group. Thanks!
