A Wine Lover's Paradise - Enjoy Both Napa and Sonoma Valley's in One Day!

All Wine Tasting Fees INCLUDED in tour price!

Unwind and soak up the stunning scenery as we journey north into Napa and Sonoma Valley, two of the most prized wine regions of Northern California. During your venture, enjoy wine tasting and exclusive estate tours of three of our favored wineries: Madonna Estate, Sutter Home, and Sebastiani Vineyards.

Since 1922, the Bartolucci Family has consistently created a perfect marriage of grapes and wine at Madonna Estate. Located in the world-renowned Carneros region, an area known for its fertile lands and cool climate, the Bartolucci family has found success with their organically grown grapes and Estate Bottled wines. In addition to practicing natural farming methods, they also combine traditional and modern wine making techniques. As the third-oldest wine making family in the Napa Valley, it is important to them that they continue the commitment to farm naturally and preserve the wine making traditions of past generations.

When the Trinchero family bought the Sutter Home Winery in 1948, they had a vision, a passion, and apparently, an insight into consumer tastes. In the early 1970s, Sutter Home started a trend when the company created White Zinfandel, introducing a new, sweeter flavor profile. They changed the way Americans enjoyed wine by offering them high-quality varietals at an affordable price. By the 1980s and 1990s, Sutter Home became a household name and the second largest independent family-run winery in the United States.

During a lunch break, we'll make a stop at Historic Downtown Sonoma Square where you will enjoy leisure time to explore. Both destinations afford a wonderful variety of eclectic dining options and one-of-a-kind boutique shops and local art galleries.

With over a century of wine making experience in Sonoma, Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery focuses on crafting small lots of premium wines from Sonoma County. Today, Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery advances its record of acclaim under the guidance of vintner and entrepreneur Bill Foley, who acquired the winery in 2008. As part of Foley Family Wines, Sebastiani will maintain its commitment to producing singular wines from the appellations of Sonoma County.

At each winery, you will spend approximately 1-hour for tour and tasting. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a scenic drive over the Golden Gate Bridge on your way back into San Francisco.

The Wine Country Tour is approximately 9 hours and is available daily at 9:00 am. The price of the tour includes the wine tasting and touring fees at each winery. Wineries subject to change on holidays or due to special events.

Lunch time is allotted between wineries. (Winery schedule subject to change pending private events at wineries). Lunch cost not included.

Optional Lunch Add-on:
Add lunch onto your day trip with a stop at a local favorite right in the middle of the historic Square in Downtown Sonoma. Enjoy items from a variety of Californian-inspired dishes ranging from Sandwiches, Pasta, and Seafood.
(Optional lunch - $30.00 per person; Includes appetizer, entree, beverage, tax & gratuities.)

I was very disappointed with this tour. The driver seems uninterested. We sped by sights and our first stop was closed -- but we were left there for a half hour anyway. after another long stop -- we didn't even bother getting off the bus this time, we were taken back to the tour headquarters over a half hour early. I do not recomend this tour.

The first tour we took was the Napa Valley and Sonoma. First, a large coach bus picked us up at our hotel, and drove us to the main booking station where we paid and were given our boarding passes for another bus, which was air-conditioned and very comfortable. Approximately one hour is spent at each of three wineries, which includes a tour and tasting. The fist vinyard we stopped at was Madonna Estates, where we had an excellent chardonnay and several other tastings. The next stop was Sutter, with an extensive gift shop, and finally Sebastiani. All three gave reasonable tastings and informative talks about their wines. There is a lunch break in Sonoma Square and Sonoma State Historic Park, where there is a large variety of cafes, restaurants, shops , local art galleries and an old mission. There is also a historic section with displays of memorabilia from the beginnings of the California republic, and a superb little gift shop with absolutely lovely and meaningful souvenirs. We opted for lunch on our own when we booked the tour (you can upgrade for lunch with an appetizer, entree and beverage for an additional fee - call ahead). The tour lasts for approximately 8 hours. It was warmer in Napa and Sonoma than in San Francisco, so dress in layers and wear comfortable walking shoes or sneakers, as you'll be standing for quite some time. It was a comfortable tour and worth it. This tour departs daily. There is a senior discount, and the tour group gives you an additional discount if you book more than one tour. The second tour we went on with this company was Monterey & Carmel. As before, you are picked up at your hotel and dropped off for a second bus at the tour center. You begin going south on Highway one along California's beautiful coast. Hint: sit on the right side of the bus for gorgeous views of the Pacific. Our very knowledgeable and charming guide was Patrick, who graciously led the group and made everyone feel comfortable, and went out of his way for assisting those (especially one young man) who didn't speak a word of English. We stopped for lunch at Cannery Row, and stepped back in time to John Steinbeck's era. There are several eateries and lovely boutiques. Then you continue on to Pacific Grove and the Lone Cypress tree, Seal Rock and a scenic drive for about seventeen miles, the Pebble Beach Golf Club (we were lucky to have a pro visiting on the bus) and ending with Carmel-by-the-Sea. The entrance fee for the scenic drive is included in the tour, and it is by far the longer of the two at eleven hours. Also, this tour only dparts on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, so you have to plan accordingly.

"Two tours!"

The concierge at my hotel booked these two tours for me so I had no idea what to expect. I couldn't have been more lucky. My first tour was to Muir Woods, Adolpho was our guide he was knowledgeable and entertaining. My second tour was to Monterey. Patrick was our guide, he was professional and very accommodating. I wouldn't book the aquarium on this tour, it was not enough time. Would definitely recommend this tour company to anyone that plans to travel to the San Francisco area.

Booked Muir Woods with Alcatraz Tour with these guys and, stupidly, missed our pick up on the morning of the tour. Called the office and was informed that we had to do the Alcatraz part that day as those tickets were outside their control but that we could rearrange the Muir Woods for the following day. Picked up on time, dropped to the office to join our party and meet our driver. Now, our driver, Charles - what a breath of fresh air. Informative, entertaining and passionate. Thank you all so much.

"great way to learn about the city"

Doing the half day 3-hour tour was a great way to get the overview of the city - both its history and its lay-out. It was helpful in planning what we wanted to spend more time on during the other days of vacation, as we took the tour on our first day in San Francisco. The stops at the Golden Gate Bridge and Twin Peaks gave us nice family photos. :) Our guide was very knowledgeable and kind. It was obvious that he loves the city and enjoys people. The only drawback was that his accent over the speaker system made it hard for our young children to understand everything he said and it made for a long time of sitting and listening for them. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city.
