My daughter and I did a tour of the wharf. After we got the hang of the segway, we had an amazing time. Our guide was Cass and she was really a lot of fun! I'd highly recommend her and this company.

We had a great time zipping along the streets of SF. Our guide, Jessada, was fun, friendly, and responsive to our interests. The segways were very easy to use! Loved it!

My 19 year old daughter and I did the advanced hills and crooked street tour of San Francisco last Monday (17th July). We have been on several Segway tours before in other cities and find this type of tour fun, informative and a great way to see a city. Melanie, our guide, gave us a refresher course making sure we were ok to let loose in the traffic (Segways have to be ridden on the road in SF which can be a little disconcerting if you have not experienced it before) and off we went. She was very clear with her hand instructions and at no time did we feel uncomfortable being in the traffic. We were wearing a single ear bud so we could hear what Melanie was saying and also hear the traffic around us. We covered quite a few miles during which we rode up and down some of the steepest streets including Lombard Street as well as experiencing areas such as Telegraph Hill, China Town, the Financial District, Nob Hill and Russian Hill. One of the many highlights was stopping at the Cable Car Museum (its free!) after which we had coffee at a quaint cafe opposite. Melanie was a delight, loved her sense of humour and of course all the information about the city and its history. We would highly recommend the Electric Tour Company, they are organised, have several locations in the city and are close to public transport. So next time you are in San Francisco why don't you do a Segway tour? PS Even though the weather may be warm, on the top of the hills it can get cool so take a light jacket.

My husband and I had never been on a segway before but the leaders made us totally comfortable by showing us exactly what to do and having us practice before we went on the tour. This was such a great tour of Golden Gate Park and there's no way we could have seen it all any other way. We had a great time!

We love Segways and have looked forward to this particular trip to San Francisco for quite awhile when we missed our chance a couple of years ago. We chose the Crooked Street tour and it was fantastic. We knew that Segways can go almost anywhere and today's tour proved that. Our introduction took us down the famous Lombard Street and then up (and down) Telegraph Hill. The tour took you through neighborhoods of North Beach and Nob Hill. Our guide was Kyle and he was fantastic. He was knowledgeable of the historical places and people. He kept the group together and accommodated a couple of the anxiuous tour participants. We definitely recommend this tour and plan to do this tour again in the future and bring our sons along.

Are there physical limitations for who can and cannot ride a Segway?
We offer a 45-50 minute training session for all Segway tour guests. However, riding and navigating a Segway is not an ideal situation for individuals with or a history of mobility issues.

All guests who wish to participate in the tour must be able to easily and quickly step on and off without assistance. This movement is similar to ascending and descending stairs without the use of a handrail.

Pregnant women are not allowed to participate in the tour due to the risk of falling when navigating the Segway. Due to the same risk, individuals above the age of 70 are not allowed to participate.

In an effort to ensure all guests are safe throughout the entire tour experience, we require that all guests must be age 12 or older and weigh at least 100 lbs.

I need to cancel my reservation. What is the process for doing so?
Any cancellations made by the listed cancellation date will receive a FULL REFUND with absolutely NO CANCELLATION FEES. Any reservations past the cancellation date cannot be changed or canceled.

What happens in the case of rain?
All tours run in light rain, fog, or shine. In the case that a tour is canceled due to extreme weather, you will be given the opportunity to join a future tour.

What time is my tour?
You will set your tour time when making your reservation.

Is parking available?
No. There are no onsite parking facilities available. It is recommended that guests park at one of the many lots and garages nearby or utilize public transportation.

What should I wear for the tour?
Closed-toed shoes are required for tour participation. Wearing an extra layer such as a light jacket is ideal for the San Francisco weather.

Will I be taught how to ride a Segway?
Yes. All riders are thoroughly trained prior to the tour. Training instruction includes safe Segway operation, emergency stops, a safety cone course, and the “Share the Road” policy overview. Every rider is required to wear a helmet and wear a bright safety vest.
