My husband, kids (teens) and I did a Segway tour in Golden Gate Park. It was a great way to see the whole park so we'd know which features we wanted to go back and explore in depth. Riding the Segway was sooooooo much fun! Definitely a bucket list activity. Our tour guide, Jeff, was great. I would suggest you request him. I can't speak for the other guides but he really made the tour fun. And he was very patient with us nervous new Segway riders. He was a good teacher and made sure we were all safe to ride before we took off around the park. By the end of the tour we all felt like we'd been riding a Segway our whole lives. Great fun! Highly recommend.

"Brilliant experience "

Having done the Wharf tour as newbies, we returned to do the Advanced tour a couple of weeks later. Both were truly brilliant. Probably the best thing we did in San Francisco. If you are thinking of doing this tour but can't quite make up your mind, don't hesitate. The Segways are easy to ride, the training is superb and the whole excursion is memorable for every good reason you can think of. Just do it!

"August rocks!"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed October 14, 2017 NEW
That’s a tour guide name reference, not the month I visited. I joined the “Advanced” tour of Golden Gate Park, for experienced gliders. It offers more time for sightseeing, in lieu of basic Segway training. We had perfect weather, and the air quality was very good, despite smoke in SF from the disastrous wildfires up north. It’s amazing what tree density can do for air quality, and this park is loaded with beautiful trees and other flora. Our guide, August, was terrific. He was knowledgeable, informative, humorous, sincere, and competent. These folks are responsible for our safety, and he was very conscientious in that regard. It is rare to see anyone deal with so much responsibility with the grace and mindfulness that August showed our group. The company deserves credit for an excellent business model and good management. August deserves praise for his own contribution, too. He is delightful.
