I was skeptical as we had never 'segwayed' before and have always thought that it looked a bit odd. That said, we thought it would be an interesting new experience while on vacation. Our guide, Johaness, was helpful, informative, passionate about the golden gate park and quite a bit of fun. He educated us on the segways and the park beyond what we expected. We went from skeptical to enthusiastic and have this tour company and our guide to thank. In fact we might even book another tour with them before we leave. Try it. You will like it.

My family and I have begun doing segway tours in the cities we visit- it's a great way to see the city and we certainly were not disappointed with Electric Tours! Right from booking they were helpful- for some reason my dad did not get a confirmation email after booking (which was more than likely because he booked from his phone while we were out and about), and when we called they were helpful in making sure our booking was cemented! When we arrived they even gave us the online discount because we had tried to do so online. We mentioned we'd done a few segway tours before but our training was not shortened because of it- indeed, our guide (after making sure each of us was comfortable on our machine) let us hop on a little early (as the other members of the tour were not there yet) and ride around the lot to get used to it again. When the rest of our tour arrived, we all did the standard training. Our guide Jessada deserves his own section- he was helpful during training, funny and knowledgeable during the tour and made sure we were safe and comfortable while riding. If we'd been in town longer we definitely would have done another tour!

My wife and I took this tour today and would have to say it is one of the best Segway tours we have done. Our guide Katy was extremely friendly, caring and had a really good way of telling facts and stories about SF that gave us a real good insight of the city past and present. The use of headsets was a first for us on a Segway tour and we thought it worked really well. Overall knowing the amount of really steep hills around this city we thought it was a great fun way to get around.
