"Excellent tours - Wine country & Muir Woods"

I booked 2 tours with Tower Tours, and both were excellent. Hotel pickup was efficient, although if you are able to get to the office in Fisherman’s Wharf on your own, you’ll save a bit of time. What a lovely day I had in wine country. We visited three wineries and each offered delicious and generous tastings. Greg did a great job as driver/guide for the day. Our lunch stop in Sonoma offered options for everyone (don’t include the lunch, just find what you like when you get there). An amazing place, Muir Woods is a must see when in San Francisco. This tour gave us a generous amount of time to explore the Muir Woods at a leisurely pace. I jumped off in Sausalito and took the ferry back to the Ferry Building. It was Saturday and the farmers markets were on, this was an ideal lunch spot. Don’t include the ferry in your tour ticket, to allow for flexibility depending on day of the week and weather etc. Silvio was nice enough to stop a second time for bridge shots as it was very foggy in the morning. Highly recommend Tower Tours for their friendly staff and well planned tours.

"Copious wine day"

I booked this last minute literally at 7:30 am via Viator website. I was pretty impressed that I got a call right away from Tower Tours saying someone was going to pick me up at my lobby in 10 minutes. The tour was a small group of 12 people in a comfortable van bus with big windows. Our driver Patrick was not only a real gentleman but very informative without over doing it. We visited three wineries, Madonna, Sutter and Sebastiani. Madonna is artisanal and poured liberally. Sutter was ok, nothing special but the grounds were nice to walk in. Sebastiani gave us a little more insight into their winemaking process and had a nice indoor barrel setting. We didn't see any actual vineyards and wished I had seen lessor know wines I can't get back in Montreal. The lunch stop in Sonoma Square gave us copious time to eat and check out some sights. While there I had a great artisanal cheese and wine tasting at La Bodega Cheese Shop then an awsome lunch at The Girl and the Fig. Left hotel at 7 and was back at 6. Thank you Patrick for a great day and the illegal sign stop photo op!

"Day trip to Napa Valley and Sonoma"

We were very impressed with Tower Tours. Our driver, Patrick, was extremely friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. He has a great sense of humour and did his best to make sure we enjoyed the day. We were even picked up and dropped at our hotel. The drive is very scenic and the Napa Valley is beautiful. We enjoyed wine tasting at two delightful wineries. We then drove to Sonoma and spend two hours wandering around this picturesque town. Another wine tasting in Sonoma followed by a relaxing drive back to San Francisco. Everything about the day was wonderful and we travelled with a lovely group of people. We highly recommend Tower Tours as excellent value for money and a professionally run organization. The trip to Napa and Sonoma is very highly recommended.

"Muir Woods, Sausalito Bus Tour, optional ferry back to Fishermans Wharf."
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

We booked this tour at the last minute when another tour cancelled us with little notice. It was an excellent tour. We were picked up at our motel at 8:30 am on time and taken to the Tour Operators office in Fishermans Wharf were we got all our tickets for the day. After a short wait we boarded a bus to Muir Woods. The driver Charles H. Was great and gave us some great history lectures throughout the trip! It took about an hour to get to Muir Woods. We were given 90 minutes to explore Muir Woods which was ample time to walk deep into the Park and take two different paths in and out including one of the more challenging hillside trails. It wasn’t enough time to walk all the trails but it was enough to see plenty! We met back at the bus and Charles drove us to Sausalito with another great talk. We then had several hours to shop and explore Sausalito’s shops and scenery and had a great lunch at one of many restauants there. We chose a 2:30 pm Ferry back to Pier 41 but could have stayed in Sausalito much longer if we wanted to. We could have also stayed on the bus with Charles and rode back to Fishermans Wharf but I don’t recommend skipping Sausalito! Great day! Some other Tour Operators don’t include the Muir Woods or Ferry Tickets in thier price so keep that in mind when shopping! Tower Tours was great!!
