"San Francisco to Monterey Tour"

We took a one way tour to Monterey with this tour company who under difficult circumstances delivered a great outcome. Due to mechanical issues with the bus which I understand was the first in ten years we were delayed until a new bus arrived to facilitate completion of the tour. Management at Tower Tours were quick to express their apologies and reimburse passengers for the inconvenience for which we are extremely grateful.

"Good company but rushed"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

Really liked the way the company handled reservations, confirmations, and pick up on the morning of tour. Tour guide was super knowledgeable and a good, fun guide. However, I agree with some reviews that there was not enough time at Muir Woods. The park is beautiful but I felt rushed with my family to complete the path and then hurried through the one trail we wanted to do so that we could get back to the bus on time. It's definitely convenient to take the tour bus there, but there's definitely not enough time at the park.

Our driver/guide Willie was very good and informative. He even stopped quickly at Ghirardelli and picked up a bag of chocolate he shared with us through out the tour. My only complaint is that we had to choose to either not see Saucalito and take the bus back or see Saucalito and take the ferry back. I thought that we could see Saucalito and ride the bus back but I guess I should have realized that the time didn't allow for that. But Willie was awesome.

"Muir Woods Tour Rip off"

Waste of money and time. You pay $69 to spend 3 hours and 40 mins getting to and from your hotel to then spend only 1 hour and 20 mins in the park. Which cost $10 to enter. So essentially it’s a $59 coach journey with a driver who talks non stop about irrelevant stuff ‘if you park here you’ll get a ticket’ and ‘ I once had an altercation with a cyclist’ You could take the ferry from Fisherman’s wharf to Sausalito and then a free shuttle to the park. A nicer journey and one that saves you money to spend on a nice lunch / dinner in Sausalito.
