The boat is located conveniently beside Fisherman's Wharf. The process of ticket purchases, lining up and boarding took less than 20 minutes. We were on the uncovered upper deck for the boat tour which offers the best views, but can also get quite cool. The commentary over the PA was very interesting. There were also sea lions and dolphins.. We went under the Golden Gate Bridge and then around Alcatraz before returning to Pier 39.

"Beat Way to see the Golden Gate Bridge "

Walking past, the guy out front was helpful, informative and not pushy. Provided me some local information to help me decide what time cruise was best for what I was planing to do for the day. Boarding was prompt and easy. They take your photo prior to boarding for your souvenir photo for purchase after the cruise. We boarded first before a tour group boarded after us which was great. Allowed me to get a seat I wanted before becoming crowded. The onboard crew weren't the most friendly but I didn't have to interact with them. The boat was clean and easy to love around. The audio tour guide was really informative and interesting. Only a short moment heading away from the dock was I not able to hear it, I think that was due to the strong winds. This is the best way to see the Golden Gate Bridge. Regardless of what side of the boat you're on you will great views and fantastic pictures. It's an amazing experience to travel under the bridge and see it from that perspective. Take some warm cloths that you can layer up and down with it can be very windy and cold oh the waters.

This is a very worthwhile boat tour. There is a good audio describing what it is that you are seeing. It takes you under both the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge. It also takes you around the Alcatraz island and provides very interesting information about Alcatraz prison, including who was held there and the different escape attempts.

"You see everything from another view"

I did the one hour bay cruise. The boat docks just next to Pier 39. You cant make reservations for priority boarding. Its first come first serve. You have to wait in line to get on board. After departure the boat sails towards The Golden Gate Bridge. And just after the bridge it makes a turn and sails in the direction of Alcatraz Island. It sails behind this Island towards the Bay Bridge. But before the boat reaches this bridge it turns and sails to Pier 39. When you are on the Cruise you see everything from another view and you get multiple picture opportunities..You are able to see the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito, Alcatraz Island, Angel Island, The Bay Bridge, Yerba Buena Island, Treasure Island and the Skyline of SFO. There are three decks on this ship. The main deck; Here you board the vessel. The Middle deck: This deck has a covered area with a bar for drinks and snacks. In this area there are chairs and tables and at the backside there are toilets. On the outside of this area there are benches. By stairs from the middle deck you can reach the upper deck (third deck) The majority of the people sit here. But when the ship sails , the people get up to see the sights. The narration is a recording, but its only audible if you are just next to the loudspeakers or if you are in the covered area on the middle deck. This bay cruise costs $31 per adult. If you buy your ticket online its $28.
