"Golden Gate and Alcatraz tour"

Took the one hour cruise to Golden Gate and Alcatraz tour. It was good. It had a recorded commentary that was informative but not comprehensive. The crew were competent and made announcements as required for safety (eg: “ please be aware we are meeting a ships wake”). Went under the Golden Gate and close to Alcatraz. A pleasant basic one hour cruise of the San Francisco Bay.

We did the extended bay cruise and loved it. Sit on the right side of the top deck for the best views! We went under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz while listening to a prerecorded informative audio. Info about the city history, the building of the bridge and intro to Alcatraz. It was interesting and well done. Nice that we could buy adult drinks on board. Bring a jacket for sure, you’re boating through the bay! It’s going to be cold! (Clean bathrooms on board.)

This trip was very informative and somewhat entertaining as the recorded narrative played while the ship cruised to the Bay Bridge and around Alcatraz. We were able to enjoy an adult beverage and take some fantastic pictures on this tour. Fun and interesting!

"Trip over to Tiburon"

Caught the first sailing (next to ‘Prier 39’) of the day to Tiburon (09:30); the boat was busy with parties of children on route to camping on Angel Island. The crossing was quick & smooth with a good views of Alcatraz & the Golden Gate Bridge; about 35mins to Angel Island, then more 10mins to Tiburon. Cost (one way); $12.50 each with no tax.
